App Privacy Policy
Our privacy policy is simple: we want to know as little about you as possible. Our apps collect only the information necessary to perform the tasks asked of them, and they keep it to themselves whenever possible. Our apps do not display ads or connect to ad networks.
Except as noted below, all information about you and your usage stays on your device(s) when you use our apps.
Pesky Details:
- Using the internet and connecting to servers means that some basic information (such as your device's IP address) is shared with the servers you connect with. This is just how the internet works.
- Apple provides some standard analytics data to app developers as to the types of devices being used and other basic, anonymous, usage data. We will use this information but will not collect anything directly via our apps. Apple does not provide us with your email address, phone number, payment method, or any other personal information.
- Some of our applications may connect to third-party data sources which we have no control over. In doing so we supply as little information as possible, but you should refer to the policies of those sources as to what their privacy policies entail.
- Some of our applications may contain links to web sites that are viewed in your Safari browser. Once you leave our app and enter those sites, any collection of information falls under the privacy policies of those sites.
- Some of our applications may have the ability to save data you provide, such as settings or favorite locations. This information is stored locally on your device or (if available and enabled by you) via iCloud. As such this information is hosted on Apple's servers and is linked to your account. We do not have any access to it.
- When you make a support request through our apps, they will prepare a standard email with various technical details about your device. This information is to assist in any troubleshooting. Before you send the email, you are free to remove any information that you are not comfortable sharing. No information is submitted to us that is not literally spelled out in the text of that email. By sending that email, you will be providing us with your email address (because that is how email works). This is also the case if you send us a non-technical comment email via our app or web site. We will only use those email addresses for the purposes of those interactions, and will not use them for any other purpose internally or to share them with others.
